How to get from Sharm El-Sheikh airport to your hotel — the vehicle choice, the long routes across Sinai, and what a fixed price should include.
Short hotel runs and long Sinai routes
Two very different journeys start at the same airport. Most arrivals are a short run to a hotel in Naama Bay, Nabq, Hadaba or along the coast — a matter of minutes rather than hours. The other kind is the long Sinai route: Dahab, Saint Catherine, Taba, or a crossing back towards the mainland. Those are half-day drives that need a driver who does the route regularly, a vehicle suited to it, and a departure time agreed in advance.
Choosing the vehicle honestly
The usual mistake is booking on passenger count alone and forgetting the luggage. Our guidance:
- Luxury sedan — up to three passengers with two medium suitcases; ideal for a couple.
- Luxury SUV — families and anyone with diving or sports equipment, or a longer Sinai drive.
- Van — larger groups travelling together who want one vehicle rather than two cars.
Night arrivals and flight delays
Charter flights into Sharm often land late in the evening or in the small hours, and that is exactly when arranging transport on the spot goes wrong. A booked transfer is tracked against your flight number, so a delayed landing does not mean an empty kerb. Tell us the flight number rather than the scheduled time, and confirm the pickup point in the arrivals area in writing.
What a fixed price should include
A transfer price is only useful if it is the final figure. Ours is quoted per route and per vehicle, and it covers the car, the driver and the waiting time built around your flight. Reference prices in Egypt start at EGP 800 for short city transfers and run to EGP 8,500 for the longest intercity routes; the price for your exact journey is confirmed before you accept it. If you also want someone inside the terminal to meet you before the car, that is meet & assist and it is priced separately.
